What is an Apple?
In Middle English, as late as the 17th century "apple" was a generic term for all fruit other than berries but including nuts.

I Love the Cold
I never even wear a jacket, unless it's like twenty degrees or something. People think I'm crazy.

Dreams
Last night I dreamed that I was a member of a Star Trek crew, and these weird monster faces were coming to destroy us. Somehow they took control of our minds and caused us to do nothing but stare at them. For some reason the mind control wore off after a little bit, and I managed to shoot my phaser at them. Unfortunately, I had it pointed in the wrong direction and accidentally shot one of my fellow crew members instead. But I finally got it right and shot one of the weird pink monstrosities. They then ran away, and I woke up.
I also dreamed a couple of days ago that I was in another world, and in this world there were these odd creatures that resembled dogs. The only problem was that they had a skull for a head; everything else was completely normal. They were attacking this woman, and then she started yelling at them. They then ran away, and I woke up.

Computer Recommendation -
The HP Pavilion DV7 1170US is a great computer. It's a 2GHZ machine, has 4GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive (5400RPM), and an NVIDIA graphics card. You can find it here. The only accessory you may want to consider is a cooling pad like this one because this machine can become a little hot sometimes.

Seven Pounds -
Wow. The "official" reviews for this movie were so terrible that I almost didn't see this movie. But it wasn't half bad. I'll rate it as a seven out of ten.

Sarah Palin -
Anne Kilkenny apparently knows Palin (a.k.a. Caribou Barbie), but they are obviously not friends.
Some people are now saying that this information is an urban legend. It's not. This doesn't mean that all of the article is true; however, it doesn't mean that all of the article is fiction either.
Proof:

The information below is a summary of the full article.
CLAIM VS FACT
•“Hockey mom”: true for a few years
•“PTA mom”: true years ago when her first-born was in elementary
school, not since
•“NRA supporter”: absolutely true
•social conservative: mixed. Opposes gay marriage, BUT vetoed a bill
that would have denied benefits to employees in same-sex relationships
(said she did this because it was unconsitutional).
•pro-creationism: mixed. Supports it, BUT did nothing as Governor to
promote it.
•“Pro-life”: mixed. Knowingly gave birth to a Down’s syndrome baby
BUT declined to call a special legislative session on some pro-life
legislation
•“Experienced”: Some high schools have more students than Wasilla has
residents. Many cities have more residents than the state of Alaska.
No legislative experience other than City Council. Little hands-on
supervisory or managerial experience; needed help of a city
administrator to run town of about 5,000.
•political maverick: not at all
•gutsy: absolutely!
•open & transparent: ??? Good at keeping secrets. Not good at
explaining actions.
•has a developed philosophy of public policy: no
•”a Greenie”: no. Turned Wasilla into a wasteland of big box stores
and disconnected parking lots. Is pro-drilling off-shore and in ANWR.
•fiscal conservative: not by my definition!
•pro-infrastructure: No. Promoted a sports complex and park in a city
without a sewage treatment plant or storm drainage system. Built
streets to early 20th century standards.
•pro-tax relief: Lowered taxes for businesses, increased tax burden on
residents
•pro-small government: No. Oversaw greatest expansion of city
government in Wasilla’s history.
•pro-labor/pro-union. No. Just because her husband works union
doesn’t make her pro-labor. I have seen nothing to support any claim
that she is pro-labor/pro-union.

Iron Man is my movie of the year.
What can I say? The actor who played Iron Man did a fantastic job in my opinion. His witty sarcasm is a big part of why this movie is so great. Graphics wise, this movie also delivers.
Battlestar Galactica is starting to bore me.
All season four has shown us so far is that Guyus Baltar really likes cylon women. The fact that he has also become a religious zealot is also fairly annoying. I hope it becomes more interesting.

Three Jobs to Suit the Introvert -
Not everyone is cut out for dealing with people or chatting on the phone for eight hours a day. Some of us just do not like the drama of the office and truly do not want to hear about what Amy and John are doing Saturday for lunch. Angry bosses, annoying clients, and the morning commute are just too much for some introverts to handle. Fortunately, there are businesses that are perfectly suited for the introvert personality.
Stock Imagery-
Many online stock imagery sites have been developed over the years. There are the macrostock agencies(expensive imagery) and the microstock agencies(inexpensive imagery). Basically, you sell your photos, illustrations, or videos to these sites and are paid whenever someone downloads one of your images. This is perfect for the introvert personality because you don't have to deal with people directly.

Religious Symbols and History -
Throughout the ages, various religions have been created and forgotten. A symbol of some sort was almost always created to express that religion. However, the passage of time has skewed the meaning of some of these symbols.
The Pentagram -
The first thing that probably comes to your mind when you think about the pentagram is a Satanic cult. However, only in the last hundred years or so have the Satanic cults used the pentagram. And the pentagram has to be inverted in order to symbolize Satan. Another religious organization that you may think of is the Wiccan religion. The Wiccan religion isn't very old either, but it is meant to symbolize ancient paganism. Unlike Satanic cults, the pentagram is not inverted in the Wiccan faith.

Cloverfield -
Cloverfield definitely has similarities to Godzilla. However, it is also quite different. Instead of focusing on the crazy monster, the movie focuses on the people who are threatened by the monster. These people decide to travel towards the monster in order to save their friend. Along the way they have to dodge bullets, artillery shells, miniature versions of the crazy monster, and the crazy monster itself. It's a great movie that is surprisingly only rated PG-13. You should enjoy it.
The Importance of Passive Income -
What is passive income, and why should you care? In this article I will explain what passive income is, and the reasons why you should take advantage of it.
Passive income is a type of income that works for you, even when you're not working. It's the best type of income you can have, in my opinion. Learning about and taking advantage of passive income is very important. Here's an example of passive income at work.
Let's say you have some type of bank account that pays a certain percentage per month, and you have one thousand dollars in that account. That certain percentage gives you five dollars for the first month.
This means that if you leave the money in your account untouched, you will have one thousand five dollars in that account after the first month. Then when it's time for your interest to be paid at the end of the second month, you'll earn about five dollars and twenty five cents.

Battling Hair Loss -
Hair loss is something that is dreaded by many men and even a few women. However, there are options these days that can help to counter hair loss. In this article, I will discuss some of these options.
We've all heard of the common remedies for hair loss. One of these remedies is Rogaine, which can possibly regrow hair. The drawback is that you have to catch the hair loss in time. In other words, as soon as you notice hair loss you should start using Rogaine. The price for Rogaine can vary depending on the brand name, special offers; etc. But you can usually expect to pay between fifteen and eighty dollars.
Another treatment method is a pill called Propecia that your doctor can proscribe for you. Again, it's best if you start taking Propecia as soon as you notice hair loss. If you're completely bald, then Propecia is unlikely to do much good. Propecia also guarantees results, when used properly. If you take Propecia for more then a year and are still balding, then your money will be refunded.

Travel to Pike's Peak -
Do you enjoy visiting the Rocky Mountains? Well then, I have a great trip idea for you. It's called Pike's Peak. In this article, I will talk about what you will experience while traveling up to Pike's Peak via the train.
There are a few different ways to reach the top of Pike's Peak. You could hike to the top of the mountain, if you like. Pike's Peak is about fourteen and a half thousand feet high though, so make sure that you're up to that type of climb. Another way to reach Pike's Peak would be to drive up the mountain.
In my opinion, the best way to travel to Pike's Peak is via the train. The train ride is called the Pike's Peak Cog Railway, and that is how I reached the top of the mountain on my trip.
This cog railway train was designed specifically for the mountain climb, and it's a very safe way to reach the top of the mountain. In fact, thus far, there has never been an accident on the train ride. And the train ride has been around for decades; that's a pretty good track record. The train also has huge windows that allow you to see everything. So don't worry about missing out on the view while traveling up the mountain.

Cell Phone Review: The Ming A1200 -
In this era of technological wonders, one wonders what the next big thing will be. In the area of cellphones, the answer is the Ming A1200, or just Ming for short. This cellphone will satisfy a broad range of digital enthusiasts, and will even interest the average phone user.
Description -
The Ming A1200 is a beautifully designed cellphone that is fairly easy to use. It sports a clamshell design like many other cellphones, but the screen is on the bottom instead of the top. The top part of the flip-top is made of plastic; it's main purpose is to simply protect the touchscreen from dust and scratches.
All information is entered using the touchscreen, so if you despise touch screens then don't buy this cellphone. There are only three real buttons on the front part of the cellphone, and they are not really needed. Unlike the iPod, the Ming's touchscreen is smaller(around two inches in length and width).
